Flik is a dedicated Indonesian broadcast channel showcasing digitally remastered HD films spanning from the 1970s to contemporary releases. We executed the end-to-end identity design from the ground up, establishing the channel's naming strategy, logo architecture, and kinetic motion system to position Flik as the premier destination for Indonesian cinema.
The name Flik is a localized adaptation of the classic term "flick", referencing both a motion picture and the physical act of propelling something with a quick, sudden motion. This dual meaning anchors the brand, bridging the tactile heritage of traditional cinema with the quick, responsive nature of modern broadcasting.
Visual & Motion Treatment
The Kinetic Library: The logo animation expands, snaps, and flickers to simulate a vast library of films shifting into view, generating dynamic visual landscapes for broadcast packaging.
Celluloid Meets Digital: The kinetic movement mimics physical celluloid film feeding through a vintage projector reel, combined with the graceful, fluid physics of modern digital machines.
Passage of Time: The rhythmic expanding letterforms serve as a visual metaphor for the relentless passage of time, celebrating the beauty and evolution of Indonesian cinematic history.
